TYPE OF VALVE GUIDE
MATERIALS
1001 = Grey Iron with excellent resistance to wear and suitable for normal stress levels.
1002 = With addition of extra phosphorus for poor lubricated engines due to anti-friction properties.
1003 = Grey Iron with phosphorus & chromium go give extra wear resistance, while the chrome helps it to be used at higher temperatures. Used in heavy duty applications which have high stress.
